The IGV line of highly shock-proof inductive proximity switches from EGE now
also includes models for combustible dust atmospheres. IGVEX sensors are
suitable for use in Ex zone 22. They retain the characteristic features of
their sensor line: made from stainless steel and manufactured from one piece,
they resist more than ten blows with an impact of eight Joule each – one such
blow corresponds to a 1 kg weight dropped onto the sensor from a height of 80
cm. Rugged industrial environments pose no problems either: the IP 67-protected
sensors withstand vibrations, metal cuttings, abrasive media, and aggressive
cooling liquids and lubricants.
IGVEX
sensors provide excellent electromagnetic compatibility: interferences such as
caused by frequency inverters do not impair their operation. The proximity
switches are suitable for ambient temperatures between –25 °C and +70 °C.
Available as M12, M18 and M30 versions with switching distances between 2 and
10 mm, they are connected via an M12 plug connector.
