Intrinsically safe and heat-proof: Inductive sensors for explosive gas and dust atmospheres

Gettorf – From now on, intrinsically safe inductive proximity switches from EGE are also available as high-temperature models. Suitable for ambient temperatures up to 130 °C, the new IGEXH sensors open up a wide range of new applications for users. Just like their predecessor models, they can be used in explosive dust and gas atmospheres (Ex zones 20 and 0). The sensors are connected to an amplifier unit which is installed outside of the hazardous area and which also generates the output signal. IGEXH sensors are available as M12, M18 and M30 models with switching distances between 2 and 15 mm. All sensor types are IP 67 protected and can be installed in rugged industrial environments.
