Suitable for explosive dust atmospheres: Inductive sensors with large switching distances

Gettorf - EGE´s IDEX20 series of inductive proximity switches is suitable for applications where combustible dust atmospheres are present constantly, over a long period of time or frequently – such as saw mills and flour and cereal mills.

Gettorf – EGE’s IDEX20 series of inductive proximity switches is suitable for applications where combustible dust atmospheres are present constantly, over a long period of time or frequently – such as saw mills and flour and cereal mills. The switches are certified according to ATEX II 1D IP 67 T80 °C. Featuring integrated electronics, they can replace previously installed standard sensors, thus converting machines and units to meet requirements for areas with explosive dust atmospheres. IDEX20 sensors are equipped with a PNP switching output. The switching status is displayed via an integrated LED. EGE provides three models (Ø 80, 100 and 160 mm) with switching distances between 10 and 150 mm. Manufactured from polyamide and aluminum, the sensors can be operated across a -25 to +70 °C temperature range. They are connected via a fixed cable. Due to IP 67 protection, they are suitable for rugged industrial environments.
